Effingham High School played host to Mahomet-Seymour in action Saturday and picked up a 39-14 Apollo Conference victory in girls basketball.

The Hearts took a 14-3 opening quarter lead and led 23-5 at halftime and 37-7 going into the final quarter.

Carsyn Fearday tallied 10 points to lead the Hearts while Abby Weis and Shelby Myers scored eight each.
