NEOGA -- Effingham Sacred Heart grabbed two victories over Neoga in junior high boys basketball action Thursday.
The Shamrocks won the seventh-grade contest 29-22. Sacred Heart led 14-12 at halftime then had a 7-3 third quarter.
McDevitt and Tegeler scored eight points each for the winners. Neoga was led by Reynolds with 11.
In eighth-grade action, Sacred Heart won 34-12. The Shamrocks held Neoga to four first half points, taking an 18-4 lead.
McClure scored 13 for the winners. Neoga was led byFeldhake with eight.

At Altamont
Effingham St. Anthony edged Altamont 37-35 in seventh-grade action Thursday.
Altamont held an 18-16 halftime lead. St. Anthony tied the score at 25-25 in the third quarter then had a 12-10 final period for the victory.
Hoene scored 17 while Willenborg chipped in with nine for the Bullpups. Altamont was led by Hammer with 12 and Kollmann with 11.

Stewardson-Strasburg claimed two victories over Windsor in action Thursday.
Stew-Stras won the seventh-grade contest 50-15. Stew-Stras led 39-7 at halftime and never looked back.
A. Wittenburg scored 21 while J. Wittenburg added 14 for the winners. Windsor was led by Heddens with six. Stew-Stras is now 19-1 on the season.
In the eighth-grade contest, Stew-Stras was a 38-24 winner and is 6-12. Wernsing scored 16 for the winners.
Windsor was led by Colclasure with 13.

Teutopolis split victories with Salem in seventh and eighth grade play Thursday.
The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade encounter 42-23. T-town took a 28-10 halftime lead. B. Niebrugge scored 14 and Roepke 10.
In eighth-grade play, Salem claimed a 40-29 win. T-town led 11-7 after the opening quarter but Salem came back to lead 19-16 at halftime then had a 21-11 second half.
K. Althoff and Bushur led T-town with eight points each.
