WSS Tallies Three-Point Win Over Dieterich

Windstor/Stewardson-Strasburg High School edged Dieterich 37-34 in girls National Trail Conference basketball action Wednesday evening.
WSS took a 7-4 opening quarter lead as Megan Schlechte scored six of the seven points for her team. The Hatchets led 18-10 at halftime.
Dieterich came roaring back with a 21-8 third period as Gracie Britton and Jennifer Robards connected on three-pointers. Dieterich went into the final quarter leading 31-26.
The lead reverted back to Windsor/Stew-Stras on a shot bySchlechte. Schlechte then tallied 10 of her total 22 points in the final period run. She also blocked a three-point attempt by the Movin' Maroons that could have tied the score. The Hatchets are now 10-8 on the season.
Dieterich was led by Britton with 10.
