T-town Picks Up Three Wins in Shootout; St. Elmo Hosts Shootout

TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis Junior High School hosted a Shootout Saturday in boys basketball action.

In the seventh-grade contest, Teutopolis fell in the opener 48-25 to Urbana. Lee Hardiek tallied 10 for the Shoes.

Urbana then edged Centralia 57-54 in overtime.

T-town downed Centralia 40-29. Collin Funneman tallied 11 while Hardiek had 10 for the Shoes.

In eighth-grade action, Teutopolis defeated Urbana 48-28 after taking a 27-16 halftime lead and outscoring Urbana 10-7 in the third quarter. Mitch Hardiek tallied 13, Blake Mette 11 and Chris Ungrund 10 for the Shoes.

Urbana defeated Centralia 48-21.

Then T-town edged Centralia 47-45 with a 10-6 third period run. Hardiek scored 12, Kenter 11 and Mette 10.

At St. Elmo

St. Elmo Junior High School hosted a shootout Saturday. St. Elmo/Brownstown defeated Okaw Valley 47-40 in eighth-grade action. Feezel tallied 32 for the winners.

St. Peter then defeated St. Elmo/Brownstown 42-15 in eighth-grade play. Harpster led St. Prter with 11. Feezel led St. Elmo/Brownstown with 16.

In a seventh-grade contest, Okaw Valley defeated St. Elmo 30-25. Maxey had 17 for St. Elmo.

North Clay (Louisville) improved to 7-3 on the season and 7-1 in Midland Trail Conference play with a win over Cisne 53-26 Thursday.

North Clay was led by Bryce Walker with 15 and Quincy Aldrich with 10.
