Bulldogs Take Fifth at Robinson Girls Invite

ROBINSON -- Effingham St. Anthony High School finished fifth at the Robinson Thanksgiving Girls Basketball Invitational Saturday.

The Bulldogs defeated Fairfield 34-29 in the contest. St. Anthony zipped off to a 13-6 opening quarter lead and that proved to be the game winning quarter.

Richards tallied 11 while McHugh chipped in with 10 for the Bulldogs.

In Friday's games, Charleston downed St. Anthony 63-32. The Trojans held a 43-16 halftime lead. St. Anthony was led by Clausius with seven points.

St. Anthony then defeated host Robinson 58-26. The Bulldogs had another big opening quarter, this time zipping out to a 13-2 lead.

Clausius tallied 18 for the winnenrs while McGuire added 10.
