Effingham Sacred Heart picked up two junior high boys basketball victories over Mattoon St. John's Tuesday evening.
In seventh-grade action, the Shamrocks picked up a 26-8 win. Sacred Heart held an 14-7 halftime lead then held St. John's to only one point in the second half.
Tegeler led the way for Sacred Heart with nine points.
In the eighth-grade contest, Sacred Heart won 37-16. The Shamrocks held an 18-6 first half lead.
Feldhake scored 15 and Zerrusen 10 for the winners.

At Tower Hill
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and Pana St. Pats split victories Tuesday evening.
St. Pats won the seventh-grade game 50-22. St. Pats opened up a 21-3 first period lead and never looked back. CHBC was led by Carson Underwood with five points.
In the eighth-grade contest, CHBC claimed a 37-25 victory. CHBC held a one-point lead at halftime then had a 25-14 second half run.
Noah Hilvety tallied 12 for the winners while Kade Persinger scored eight.

At Altamont
Vandalia nabbed two wins over Altamont in competition Tuesday evening.
Vandalia claimed the seventh-grade game 43-37. Vandalia held an 18-16 halftime lead but Altamont came roaring back to lead 31-27 going into the final quarter. Vandalia then regained momentum with a 16-6 run for the win.
Altamont was led by Kollmann with 12 points.
In eighth-grade competition, Vandalia won 39-34. Altamont held a 16-10 halftime lead and led 31-21 going into the final period. Vandalia then rallied with an 18-3 run for the win.
Reardon led Altamont with 11 points.
