Cumberland, Cerro Gordo Thanksgiving Tourney Pairings

The Cumberland Turkey Tournament and the State Bank of Cerro Gordo and Bement Turkey Tournament pairings have been released for boys basketball. Following are area schools entered and the pairings.

Cumberland Turkey Tournament

In Pool A of this tournament are Cumberland, Newton, Edwards County (Albion) and Altamont while in Pool B are Casey-Westfield, Dieterich, Charleston and Oblong.

The tournament will be played at Cumberland High School and Cumberland Junior High School.

The tournament opens with two games at both locations Monday, November 20 and will continue with two games at both locations Tuesday, November 21, four games at the high school Friday, November 24 and finish out with four games at the high school Saturday, November 25.

State Bank of  Cerro Gordo and Bement Turkey Tourney

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg is the lone area boys squad competing in this tournament.

The Hatchets won't open play until Wednesday, November 22 against Blue Ridge at 6 p.m. WSS will then take on Sangamon Valley at noon Friday, November 24 and again at 7:30 p.m. against Cerro Gordo-Bement. Pool place winners will compete Saturday, November 25.
