Effingham St. Anthony captured two wins in junior high girls basketball competition Tuesday evening.
In seventh-grade play, St. Anthony was a 43-15 winner over Casey-Westfield Roosevelt. The Bullpups jumped out to a big halftime lead, 29-6, and never looked back. Guy scored 14 and Kabbes 10 for the winners.
The Bullpups won the eighth-grade contest 34-6 over Roosevelt. St. Anthony took a 26-2 halftime lead. Rios and Fearday scored six points each for the winners who improve to 5-12.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis claimed two victories over Salem Franklin Park Tuesday.
In seventh-grade play, T-town won 41-11. The Wooden Shoes were led by Emily Konkel with 21 and Alaina Helmink with eight. T-town improves to 14-2.
In the eighth-grade game, T-town was a 44-17 winner. Tia Probst tallied 10 and Macy Probst eight for the winners. T-town is now 14-2.

At Cowden
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City improved its overall record to 16-3 with a 38-16 win over Shelbyville Moulton Tuesday.
Mady Wojcik tallied 17 for the winners.
In eighth-grade play, CHBC claimed a 38-30 win. CHBC led 21-2 after the opening quarter and then had to hold off Moulton in the second half.
Wojcik led again with 19 points while Gracie Heckert added eight.

At Strasburg
Stewardson-Strasburg handed Ramsey a loss in seventh-grade competition Tuesday evening.
Stew-Stras was a 36-11 winner and improves to 4-16. Vonderheide tallied 16 while Wernsing added eight for the winners.
In the eighth-grade game, Ramsey edged Stew-Stras 22-21. Ramsey held a 15-7 halftime lead. Stew-Stras came back with a 14-7 second half but couldn't make up that one point deficit.
Kinkelaar scored nine for the 1-16 Stew-Stras squad.
