Teutopolis Junior High School captured two wins over Altamont in boys basketball action Thursday evening.

The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade game 51-21. T-town stepped out to a 26-12 halftime lead. Derek Niemerg tallied 11 and Logan Roepke 10.

Altamont was led by Kollman with six points.

In eighth-grade play, T-town won 47-23. The Shoes took a 22-10 opening quarter lead and held Altamont scoreless in the second period for a 41-10 halftime lead.

Mitch Althoff scored 15 for the winners while Kaleb Bannick added 12 and Sam Bushur 10.

Altamont was led by Connor with 11 points.

At Louisville

Stewardson-Strasburg and North Clay (Louisville) split wins Thursday.

Stew-Stras won the seventh-grade contest 50-20. Stew-Stras led 20-14 at halftime then had a 30-6 second half.

A. Wittenberg scored 16 and J. Wittenberg 14 for the winners. Fleener and Dawkins led North Clay with nine each.

In the eighth-grade game, North Clay picked up a 40-29 victory. North Clay led only 14-12 at halftime then took off with a 26-17 second half run.

Griffy tallied 10 for the winners while Kleidner added nine. Stew-Stras was led by Wernsing with 10.

At Nokomis

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City dropped a heart-breaker to Pana St. Pats at the Nokomis Eighth-Grade Tournament Thursday evening.

The score was knotted at 10-10 after the opening quarter and 15-15 at halftime. The two squads tallied nine each in the third period. Pana St. Pats then had an 11-10 final quarter by hitting five free throws and three field goals for the 35-34 victory.

CHBC was led by Daniel Lucas with 15 points.
