Effingham Junior High School's seventh-grade girls basketball squad remained unbeaten with a victory Tuesday evening against Okaw Valley.
The Mustangs won 32-5 with a 20-2 opening half lead. Mapes was the lone EJHS player in double figures with 10. The Mustangs are now 6-0 on the season.
In the eighth-grade game, Effingham was a 28-7 winner to improve to 4-2.
Sowell, Althoff and Duncan tallied six points each for the winners.

At St. Anthony
Efifngham St. Anthony picked up victories over Jasper County Tuesday evening.
The Bullpups won the seventh-grade game 30-9. Fearday tallied 10 and Faber eight for the winners. Jasper County was led by Emma Oldham with four.
In eighth-grade action, St. Anthony took a 30-4 first half lead and went on for a 41-1 victory.
Strullmyer scored 12 and Guy eight for the Bullpups. Jasper County was led by Sydney Dobbins with four.
Jasper County won the sixth-grade game 10-6.

At Strasburg
Teutopolis came calling and claimed two victories over Stewardson-Strasburg Tuesday evening.
T-town won the seventh-grade encounter 39-13. The Wooden Shoes held a 23-8 halftime lead. Konkel scored 24. The Shoes are 6-1.
Stew-Stras (0-11) was led by Wernsing and Kinkelaar with five each.
In the eighth-grade contest, T-town won 38-4. The Shoes led 23-2 at halftime. Cates tallied 10 for the winners. T-town improves to 6-1.
Hayes led Stew-Stras (0-9) with three.

At Altamont
Sigel St. Michael picked up a seventh-grade win over host Altamont Tuesday evening, 34-17.
The Sharpshooters stepped out to a 16-4 opening quarter lead and never looked back. Bueker tallied 18.
Altamont was led by Osteen with six points.
In eighth-grade play, St. Michael fought back for a 33-28 victory.
Altamont took a 10-6 opening quarter lead and led 19-16 at halftime. But the Sharpshooters had a 6-1 third quarter to lead 22-20 then had an 11-8 final period.
Cremens scored 17 for the winners. Altamont was led by McManaway with 12 and Nelson with 11.
