Effingham St. Anthony and Teutopolis split junior high girls basketball victories Thursday evening.
The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade contest 31-25. Emily Konkel scored 21 of the 31 points for the Shoes. T-town improves to 2-0.
Leading St. Anthony was Rios with eight.
In eighth-grade action, St. Anthony was a 20-18 winner. T-town led 12-11 going into the final quarter when the Bullpups had a 9-6 run for the win. Guy tallied 10 points for the winners.
T-town was led by Macy Probst with eight points. T-town drops to 1-1.

At Beecher City
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City split victories with South Central in action Thursday evening.
CHBC was a 39-12 winner in seventh-grade play to improve to 2-0 in the National Trail Conference, 3-0 overall. Mady Wojcik tallied 12 points to lead the way. South Central was led by Cowger with five.
In eighth-grade action, South Central claimed a 36-24 win. South Central led 26-14 at halftime. CHBC drops to 1-1 in the conference, 1-2 overall.

Jasper County picked up a win in eighth-grade play but lost to Robinson Nuttall in the seventh-grade contest.
Robinson Nuttall was a 28-10 winner. Leading Jasper County was Cierrah Utley with four points.
In eighth-grade action, Jasper County won 26-12. Makalyn Nichols had eight points.
