DIETERICH -- Dieterich Junior High School claimed two victories over visiting Effingham Sacred Heart in girls basketball action Thursday.
Dieterich won the seventh-grade contest 35-8. Esker led the way with eight points while Parish and Kinnison tallied six each.
The Shamrocks were led by Grubb with four points.
In the eighth-grade contest, Dieterich won 29-11. M. Brummer scored eight points.
Rozene had nine for the Shamrocks.

At Strasburg
North Clay (Louisville) nabbed two victories over host Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor Thursday evening.
North Clay claimed the seventh-grade game 30-16. Conley finished in double figures with 12 points for the winners. Mathis led Stew-Stras/Windsor with six.
In the eighth-grade game, North Clay was a 36-19 winner. Holkenbrink and Conley provided the one-two scoring punch with 10 points each for the winners.
Stew-Stras/Windsor was led by Hayes with 11.
