MARSHALL -- Teutopolis claimed a semifinal round victory in the Class 8-3A Marshall Girls Basketball Regional Tuesday evening. T-town downed Cumberland 44-18.
Raegan Drees, Jamie Sandschafer and Jessica Drees tallied eight points each for the winners who improve to 22-1. T-town advances to face Marshall for the regional title Friday at 6 p.m. Marshall was a 39-15 winner over Casey-Westfield in the second game of the evening.

At Effingham
In the Class 8-1A Effingham Sacred Heart Regional, Noble downed Dieterich 27-16.
Noble held a 7-4 opening quarter lead and an 11-7 halftime tally. Noble outscored Dieterich 16-9 in the second half. Noble was led by Hawkins witih eight points. Dieterich was led by Shadle with seven points.

At Hillsboro
In the Class 8-3A Hillsboro Regional, Hillsboro and Vandalia picked up victories Tuesday evening.
Hillsboro defeated Pana 38-18 in the opening game. In the second contest, Vandalia was a 24-15 winner over Brownstown. Hillsboro will meet Vandalia Thursday for the regional championship at 6 p.m.
At Mattoon
Champaign Jefferson and Mattoon will meet for the championship of the Class 8-4A Mattoon Regional after picking up wins Tuesday evening.
Champaign Jefferson defeated Champaign Edison 54-44 while Mattoon was a 34-21 winner over Charleston. The pair square off for the title Friday at 4:30 p.m.
At Kinmundy
Altamont blasted Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick 32-2 in the Class 8-2A South Central Regional.
Altamont held an 18-0 first half lead. Keidron Duckwitz tallied 14 and Elizabeth Biggs 10 for the winners. E. Wehrle scored BCCH's two points.
In the second game, Neoga edged South Central 46-44. Neoga will now take on Altamont Thursday at 6 p.m. for the regional championship.
