EIU Women's Basketball Scheduld Released

Eastern Illinois women's basketball team will play fourteen games at home this regular season with one exhibition game vs. Rose-Hulman as head coach Matt Bollant releases the 2017-18 schedule.

Senior Grace Lennox returns for the Panthers as a key player having started in all 28 regular season games last year. She averaged 16 points and four rebounds for EIU.  The Panthers welcome back seven players from last year's squad while adding eight new faces to the roster.

Fans can catch the Panthers in action at home on Nov. 6 for their only exhibition game this season. They will tip-off against Rose-Hulman at 5:15 pm in Lantz Arena.

Regular season play will open at home on Friday Nov. 10 against Northern Illinois. EIU will then travel to Wright State on Nov. 14 and return home Nov. 18 to play Evansville.

The Panthers will then travel to Philadelphia Thanksgiving weekend to play in the Saint Joseph Hawk Classic on Nov. 25 and Nov 26. They will wrap up their road trip with a game at Cleveland State on Nov. 28.

EIU will return home for the start of December with a game vs. Bradley on the fifth. They will then play a game on the road in Fort Wayne on Dec. 8 and return home for two games against Valparaiso and North Texas. The Panthers will wrap up non-conference play at Northwestern on Dec. 22.

The Ohio Valley Conference play will open with four games on the road. EIU will play at Murray State on Dec. 28 followed by Austin Peay on Dec. 30. After the New Year, the Panthers will play at Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky.

The Panthers will return home for four straight OVC games as they play Belmont on Jan. 11 followed by games with Tennessee Tech, UT Martin, and Southeast Missouri. EIU will also host Jacksonville State, Tennessee Tech, Austin Peay, Murray State, and SIUE for home contests.

The Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana will be home to the 2018 OVC Tournament this year. Games will be played Feb. 28 to March 3.
