Cowden-Herrick Nabs Win at Ramsey/Mulberry Grove Tourney

Cowden-Herrick picked up an opening round victory in the Ramsey/Mulberry Grove Boys Basketball Turkey Tournament Monday evening.

The Hornets edged host Ramsey 53-47. The Hornets stepped out to an 11-7 opening quarter lead and led 26-22 at halftime. Ramsey came back with a slight 13-12 edge but the Hornets had a 15-12 final period run.

Three players hit double figures in even scoring for the winners. Seth Barnes tallied 14, Colton Burrus 12 and Luke Moore 11. Moore led in rebounds with 10 and had a blocked shot, a steal and two assists.

In the first game of the evening, Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran edged Patoka 53-50.
