The Chicago Bulls traded Jimmy Butler and the No.16 pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves ahead of Thursday night's NBA draft in exchange for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the No. 7 pick.

The NBA draft was held with the Philadelphia76ers selecting Washington guard Markelle Fultz with the No. 1 pick.

As expected, the Los Angeles Lakers selected UCLA guard Lonzo Ball with the No. 2 pick. In all, college freshmen were selected with the first five picks, which is a first in NBA draft history.
