Grant Wolfe Hits Game-Winner At IBCA All-Star Game

PONTIAC -- Effingham High School's Grant Wolfe hit a three-pointer as time ran out to lead the South past the North in the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game Saturday at Pontiac High School.

The North took a two-point lead with just seconds remaining in the game before Wolfe connected on a three-pointer to give the South a 114-113 win.

Homewood-Flossmoor's Jeff Boyd connected on four three-pointers as the South finished with 22 total trifectas in the game. Boyd earned MVP honors for the South, finishing with 20 points.

In the Class 1A/2A boys game, the North defeated the South 127-120. The North finished with 17 three-pointers in the game. Effingham St. Anthony's Drew Gibson was selected to play for the South squad. Chicago Hope's Jordan Doss was named the MVP with 24 points.

In the Class1A/2A girls game, the South edged the North 87-86. Neoga High School's Jaycie Roy was chosen to compete for the South. Sesser/Vallier's Hannah Garascia scored 27 points for the South and was named MVP.

In the Class 3A/4A girls contest, the South All-Stars won 93-67. Springfield's Raina Gully was named the MVP with 12 points.
