Mia Smith To Serve on USA Basketball Committee

BLOOMINGTON -- Illinois Wesleyan head women's basketball coach Mia Smith has been selected to serve as an at-large representative on the national USA Basketball committee to select coaches and athletes for various USA Basketball teams for the 2017-2020 quadrennium.

The USA Basketball committees include representatives from USA Basketball's constituent organizationas, as well as at least one former USA Basketball athlete representative on each committeee.

Chairing the USA Women's Developmental National Team Committee is Carol Callan, USA Basketball Women's National team director. Athlete representatives include four-time Olympic and two-time World Championship gold medalist Tamika Catchings and DeLisha Milton-Jones, a two-time Olympic and two-time World Champoinship gold medlaist.

Joining Smith as an at-large representative is Westmont College head coach Kirsten Moore.
