Effingham Junior High Girls Squad Nabs Two Wins; T-town Splits

Effingham Junior High School played host to Dieterich in girls basketball action Monday evening and claimed two victories.
The Mustangs won the seventh-grade contest 46-6, outscoring Dieterich 28-0 in the opening half. Ramos tallied 14 and Myers 10 for the winners who improve to 14-2. Robards led Dieterich with four.
In the eighth-grade game, Effingham was a 25-16 winner. Conkling tallied 10 for the winners who are now 3-13. Dieterich was led by Bannick and Aherin with five each.

At Salem
Teutopolis picked up the eighth-grade win over Salem Franklin Park Monday evening, 38-5.
Jamie Sandschafer tallied 16 and Raegan Drees 11 as the team improved to 19-1.
In seventh-grade play, Salem Franklin Park won 20-13. Macy Michels and Marianna Hemmen tallied six for T-town who drops to 13-7.
