AP Corrected 1A-2A All-State Boys Basketball Teams

The Class 1A-2A Associated Press All-State boys basketball teams has been corrected. The team named Thursday, March 9 required a re-vote for the final 1A spot when it was discovered Chicago University's Jamel Alausa should have been placed on the 2A ballot. Alausa's 1A voters were asked to cast a different 1A vote and all 2A voters were asked to consider Alausa in that division.

Here is the corrected list:

Class 1A First Team -- Drew Gibson (Effingham St. Anthony), Noah Frederking (Okawville), Tyler McCormick (Colfax Ridgeview), Jordan Doss (Chicago Hope Academy) and Jered Cain (Patoka).

Class 1A Second Team -- Cory Miller (Mendon Unity), Will Clausel (Newark), Chaz Sardin (Peoria Quest), Seth Ramsey (Gallatin County) and Owen Landwehr (Annawan)

Class 1A Honorable Mention -- Rahim McKee Strong (DePue), Kyle Smith (Marissa), Jack Wolfe (Aurora Christian), Caleb Vaughn (Crab Orchard), Zee Johnson (Elverado), Dawson Maus (Oblong), Braden Webb (Goreville), Austin Guy (Orangewille), Dave Taylor (Cairo), Brennen Woods (Elgin Harvest Christian) and Steven Price (Buffalo Tri-City).

Also receiving a single vote (thus not receiving honorable mention), Austin Galloway (Pawnee), Landon Feezel (St. Elmo/Brownstown), Noah Young (Colfax Ridgview), Garrett Belcher (Patoka), Shane Ganz (Okawville) and Nathan Doty (Niantic Sangamon Valley)

Class 2A First Team -- Raekwon Drake (Chicago Orr), Brandon Trimble (St. Joseph-Ogden), Taylor Bruninga (Illini Bluffs), Gentry Whiteman (Rockridge) and Demarius Jacobs (Chicago Uplift)
