Boys basketball award winners were, left to right, Grant Wolfe, Ryan Sandifer, Mason Hull, Trevor Kreke, Brent Beals, Jacob Donaldson, Landon Wolfe, Cole Marxman, Blake Lohman and Ryan Huelsbusch.

Effingham High School boys basketball, cheer and Pom Pon award winners were honored Saturday evening with a banquet at the Heart Rock Cafe.

Basketball award winners were Grant Wolfe (Most Valuable Player, Most Assists), Mason Hull (Best Defensive Player), Brent Beals (Best Defensive Player, Highest Free Throw Percentage, Hustle), Ryan Sandifer (Hustle), Cole Marxman (Most Improved Player), Trevor Kreke (Sixth Man), Blake Lohman (Coaches award), Ryan Huelsbusch (Coaches award), Jacob Donaldson (Highest Free Throw Percentage, Most Blocked Shots) and Landon Wolfe (Most Rebounds, Outstanding Sophomore).

Lettermen were Cooper Jackson, Ryan Sandifer, Donte Latham, Lucas Hagler, Landon Wolfe, Ryan Huelsbusch, Trevor Kreke, Mason Hull, Grant Wolfe, Blake Lohman, Brent Beals, Hunter Petersen, Jacob Donaldson, Logan Smith and Cole Marxman.

Pom Pon awards went to Keira Hirtzel (Biggest Leap), Jamie Dillow (Shining Star), Sophia Ballard (Excellence in Sportsmanship), Cierra Rush-Inman (Excellence in Showmanship), Hayleigh Duncan (Key to Creativity) and Brynn Flack (Heart Beat).

Letterwinners were Cierra Rush-Inman, Sophia Ballard, Brynn Flack, Anna Habing, Cairra Leasher, Hayleigh Duncan, Madeline Rubin, Kierstin Cornell, Jordan Christy, Kaylee Phillips, Keira Hirtzel, Erin Browne, Olivia Firtcher, Jamie Dillow and Madison Helms.

Cheerleading awards went to, left to right, Meredith Wendling, Grace Lybarger, Lauryn Douthit and Kaylee Phillips. Not pictured, Jaci Lipe.

Letterwinners were Katelyn Lybarger, Anna Habing, Brianne Boggs, Meredith Wendling, Grace Lybarger, Hailey Marsh, Chloe Larimore, Alena Heckert, Jaci Lipe, Lauryn Douthit, Kaylee Phillips, Chloe Funneman, Delaney Starwalt, Haidyn Lewis, Hanna Lewis, Renae Bingman, Hope Monnet and Madilyn Stortzum.

Grant Wolfe (left) moved into third place on the all time career scoring list in Effingham High School history with 1,669 points.  Presenting him the award is Coach Ron Reed. First on the all time career scoring list is Mitch Arnold with 2,046 followed by Pat Fitzsimmons with 1,700. Fourth is Ryan Grant with 1,632 followed by Tom Fish 1,338, Uwe Blab 1,304, Roger Arnold 1,220, Cody McCollum 1,199, Chuck White 1,164, Nathan Kreke 1,127 and Gale Lister 1,012.
