BSE Picks Up Victory Over Odin, Area Boys Basketball Roundup

ODIN -- Brownstown/St. Elmo High School edged out to a 19-15 opening quarter lead and had a 17-8 final quarter to beat Odin 74-60 in a non-conference boys basketball game Tuesday evening.
SEB held a 35-31 halftime lead and a 57-52 lead going into the final quarter then had the nine point spread for the victory.
Four players hit double digits for SEB. Landon Feezel tallied 21 points while Isaac Maxey chipped in with 17, Lewis Brown 13 and Klayton Kroll 12.
Odin was led by Nix with 21, Roberts with 17 and Shaffer with 15.

Nokomis played host to Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and claimed a 72-30 non-conference victory Tuesday.
Nokomis stepped out to a 41-9 halftime lead and never looked back. Nokomis is now 21-7 on the season.

Casey-Westfield picked up a 65-51 victory over Newton in action Tuesday evening.
The Warriors leaped to an 18-4 opening quarter lead and led 32-13 at halftime. The Eagles came back with a 24-9 third quarter to pull within 41-37. But Casey-Westfield responded with a 24-14 final period.
Jack Chapman tallied 11 while Joe Stone scored 10 for the Eagles. Chapman connected on three trifectas in the game.

Cumberland High School had a one-two scoring punch in Zach Wolke and Tyson Magee as the pair tallied 17 points each in the Pirates 70-55 win over Tri-County in the Little Okaw Valley Northwest Division Tuesday.
The Pirates edged out to a 19-15 opening quarter lead then had an 18-8 second period run. Mike Wolke and Gabe Hatfill were also in double figures for the Pirates with 13 and 12 points respectively.
Cumberland improves to 3-1 in the conference, 14-11 overall.
