Teutopolis Girls Pick Up Weekend Victories

CASEY -- Teutopolis downed Casey-Westfield in Friday girls competition in both seventh and eighth-grade play.

T-town edged Casey-Westfield 16-14 in seventh-grade action. Macy Michels tallied eight points for the winners.

In eighth-grade competition, T-town was a 37-14 winner. Raegan Drees scored 17 and Shelby Thompson 12.

At Monticello

Teutopolis then competed Saturday in the Monticello Shootout. Monticello beat T-town in seventh-grade action 36-13. Michels led T-town with five points.

In eighth-grade aciton, T-town was a 24-16 winner over Monticello. R. Drees scored 11.

T-town then faced El Paso-Gridley in seventh-grade action and won 24-14. Marianna Hemmen and Michels scored 11 points each for the winners. T-town is now 12-6 on the season.

In eighth-grade play, T-town beat El Paso-Gridley 33-23. Jamie Sandschafer scored 18 for the Wooden Booties. T-town improves to 18-0 on the season.

Jasper County held a 13-5 first half lead then had a 12-0 third quarter run. Abby Frohning tallied 15 points for the winners.
