T-town Beats Centralia in Benton Shootout

BENTON -- Teutopolis picked up a 61-45 win over Centralia in the Benton Boys Basketball Shootout Saturday.

The two squads were tied at 15-15 after the opening quarter. The Wooden Shoes edged ahead 28-25 at halftime. Brant Bueker connected on a three-pointer and tallied five points.

The Shoes then put the contest in the win column with a 21-13 final period.

Mitch Hardiek tallied 19 points while Bra. Bueker scored 15 for the Shoes. Lee Hardiek, Lucas Deters and Lane Belleville scored seven points each.

The Shoes improved to 23-3 on the season and will face Taylor Rockridge Friday at Lincoln College.
