Teutopolis Wins Eighth-Grade Regional

TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis Junior High School ran off to a 25-2 opening quarter lead and went on to pound Cumberland 59-10 to win its own Class 8-3A Regional Thursday.

Addis nailed 20 points to lead the Wooden Shoes while Hardiek tallied 12.

T-town advances to the Paris Mayo Sectional and will face Marshall, the winner of the Sidell Salt Fork Regional over Danville Oakwood 27-13. The Shoes will meet Marshall at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Class 8-2A Neoga Regional

Neoga saw its season come to an end with a 37-36 loss to Paris Crestwood Thursday evening in its own regional championship.

Paris Crestwood advances to face Effingham St. Anthony in the St. Anthony Sectional Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The winner advances to state tournament play.
