Teutopolis High School has a long tradition of top quality high school basketball. Some of those longest lived basketball players were honored in ceremonies at Friday night's game against Champaign St. Thomas More.

The school district plans to honor all of those who have played a role in the success of the Wooden Shoes, and started by honoring those Shoes stars from the 1930s and 1940s. Those present to be honored stand at center court with members of the current Wooden Shoes squad.
