Altamont, T-town, CHBC, WSS Nab Boys Victories

ALTAMONT -- Only four Altamont High School players scored in the game, but all four produced double digit performances as the Indians pulled out a 76-73 win in overtime over Shelbyville Tuesday evening in boys basketball.
Altamont stepped out to a 24-13 opening quarter lead as Mitchell Stevenson connected on three trifectas. But the Rams came back with a 13-5 second period to pull within 29-26 at halftime.
Shelbyville continued its hot streak with a 22-19 third period to tie the score at 48-48 going into the final quarter.
Altamont held a three-point lead but Shelbyville's Macolm Miller connected on a three-pointer at the buzzer to tie the game and send it into overtime.
In the overtime period, Stevenson knocked in a three-pointer and was two of two at the line while Ryan Armstrong and Evan Cornett hit a basket each and the Indians pulled out the victory.
Stevenson finished with 26 points while Armstrong added 19, Cornett 17 and Sam Childerson 14. Stevenson had five three-pointers while Armstrong had two. The Indians were 15 of 18 at the line as Armstrong connected on five of seven and Stevenson was five of six.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis High School picked up its 11th straight victory by downing Paris 90-51 in action Tuesday evening.
Mitch Hardiek led the team with 22 points while Brant ueker added 20 and Brock Bueker 16. Hardiek led in rebounds with five while Lucas Deters and Blake Mette added four each. Brock Bueker and Chris Ungrund had four assists each. Ungrund led the team with five steals.
T-town stepped out to an early 25-9 lead and never looked back in improving to 12-1 on the season. The Wooden Shoes will play host to Champaign St. Thomas More Friday.
Teutopolis won the junior varsity game and improves to 4-0.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg started slow then gained momentum for a 58-35 National Trail Conference win over Neoga Tuesday evening.
Neoga held a 12-9 opening quarter but WSS came back with a 14-5 second period and outscored the Indians 35-18 in the second half.
Three players hit double figures for the Hatchets. Nic Hutchinson led the way with 21 points while Christian Kessler and Chase Thies added 14 each. Windsor/Stew-Stras improves to 2-0 in the conference, 8-5 overall.
Neoga was led by Drew Ramert with 10 points. Neoga drops to 2-2 in the conference, 4-12 overall.
Windsor/Stew-Stras claimed the junior varsity game 63-32.

CHBC edged out to an 11-9 opening quarter then pushed that to 33-20 at halftime.
Four players tallied double figures for CHBC. Konner Blackerby, a 5-foot-11 senior, led the way with 23 points while Cody Grove scored 14, Aaron Nohren 11 and Trey Buzzard 10.

Tyson Magee led Cumberland with 21 points while Zach Wolke chipped in with 11.
St. Elmo/Brownstown was led by Dylan Brooks with 13 and Landon Feezel with 12.

A last second shot doomed Dieterich to a 55-52 non-conference loss to Flora Tuesday evening.
Dieterich held a 13-9 opening quarter lead but Flora came back to lead 21-17 at halftime. The Movin' Maroons moved ahead in the third quarter 39-37. The score was tied at 52-52 with only seconds remaining in the contest when a Flora player launched a three-pointer that connected at the buzzer for the victory.
Ryan Radloff led Dieterich with 20 points while Callaway Campton tallied 13. Radloff put in four three-pointers.
