Junior High Boys Basketball Results -- Dec. 17

TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis Junior High School picked up two victories over Effingham St. Anthony in boys basketball competition  Saturday.

In the seventh-grade game, the Wooden Shoes took a 41-33 victory. T-town edged out to a 12-11 opening quarter lead then had a 13-5 second period run. St. Anthony pulled within 36-30 going into the final quarter but the Shoes held on for the victory.

Bushue tallied 15 while K. Althoff added 11 for the winners. St. Anthony was led by Kyle Stewart with 12.

In the eighth-grade contest, T-town was a 47-33 winner. The Shoes held a 21-17 halftime lead then had a 13-2 third quarter run.

M. Deters tallied 16 and Addis 10 for the winners. St. Anthony was led by Antrim and Walsh with nine points each.
