Tourney Pairings for Charleston, Monticello Girls Tourneys

Pairings were released for the 24th Annual Charleston Holiday Girls Basketball Tournament along with the Monticello Girls Holiday Tourney.

Effingham will be competing in the Charleston Tourney and is in the Gold Pool along with Paris, Rantoul, Urbana and Decatur Eisenhower. In the Red Pool are Charleston, Champaign Centennial, Danville, Pekin and Canton.

The Hearts will face Paris at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 27. Effingham's second game will be Wednesday, December 28 at 10:30 a.m. against Decatur Eisenhower and the Hearts will return to play at 4:30 p.m. against Urbana.

EHS will then take on Rantoul at 9 a.m. Thursday, December 29. Pool play will end with the final game starting at 1:30 p.m. The fifth place game is 4 p.m. with the the third place game at 5:30 and the championship at 7.

Neoga will be competing in the Monticello Tournament and will compete in the Gold Pool along with Argenta-Oreana, Ridgeview and Paxton-Buckley-Loda. In the Purple Pool will be host Monticello, Tuscola, GCMS and Stark County.

Neoga will face Argenta-Oreana at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 27. The Indians will then take on Ridgeview at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 28 and again at 6 p.m. against Paxton-Buckley-Loda.

The tourney finals are scheduled for Thursday, December 29.
