Effingham St. Anthony picked up two freshman/sophomore boys basketball victories over Effingham Monday evening.
In the freshman contest, the Bulldogs won 67-49. St. Anthony took a 33-23 halftime lead. Jacob Dust scored 22 points in the first half and finished out with 32 for the contest. Kaden Fearday scored 11.
Effingham was led by Kalben with 18 and Utz with 13.
In the sophomore contest, St. Anthony picked up a 45-17 win. The Bulldogs led 24-6 at halftime. Luke Ludwig tallied 10 for the winners.
Effingham was led by Pemberton with six.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis claimed a pair of victories over Altamont Monday evening in boys freshman/sophomore play.
In the freshman contest, Altamont held a 33-29 halftime lead. T-town had a strong third quarter to lead 53-29 going into the final period and post a 72-62 victory. T-town was led by Mitch Hardiek with 17 while Luke Ungrund and Brock Deters had 13 each and Mitch Hemmen 10.
Altamont was led by Teasley with 21, Kollman with 10 and Duckwitz with 10.
In the sophomore game, Altamont jumped out to a 13-6 opening quarter lead, however T-town used a strong second quarter to lead 35-34 at halftime. After three quarters, Altamont led 42-41 but T-town pulled away in the final period, posting a 56-48 win. Seth Probst and Charles Hoene tallied 12 each and Tyler Runde 11.
Altamont was led by Biggs with 16.

Effingham fell to Charleston 28-21 in girls freshman/sophomore basketball action Monday.
The score was tied at 9-9 in the opening quarter and 13-13 at halftime. Charleston then had a 10-2 third period and went on for the victory.
