EHS Edges St. Anthony in Girls High School Action

Effingham High School edged St. Anthony 37-35 in girls basketball action Saturday.

The Hearts trailed St. Anthony 13-7 after the opening quarter and by that same six point margin at the half 23-17. The Hearts then had a 12-3 third period and held on for the two point victory.

Carsyn Fearday, Bria Barr and Miranda Fox tallied eight points each for the Hearts.

St. Anthony was led by Abby Weis and Meg Richards with seven each.

EHS improved to 7-0 on the season while St. Anthony dropped to 5-3.
