Class 8-1A Effingham Sacred Heart Regional

Sigel St. Michael moved into the championship game with a 48-14 win over Dieterich Tuesday evening.

In the second contest, Oakland Lake Crest downed Martinsville 21-16.

St. Michael will now take on Oakland Lake Crest at 6 p.m. Thursday for the regional title.

 

Class 8-2A North Clay (Louisville) Regional

Effingham St. Anthony claimed its opening victory in the North Clay Regional.

The Bullpups trounced Oblong 32-8.

In the second game, Brownstown/St. Elmo won over Palestine 31-28.

In Thursday games, Altamont will meet North Clay at 6:15 p.m. followed by St. Anthony taking on Brownstown/St. Elmo at 7:45. The winners advance to the championship game Friday at 6:15 p.m.

 

Class 8-2A Assumption Central A&M Regional

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor advanced to the championship game with a 39-23 win over Assumption Central A&M Tuesday evening.

SSW stepped out to an 11-2 opening quarter lead and had a 16-3 third period run. Hannah Hayes led the way with 15 points.

No score was turned in on the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City vs. Nokomis contest.

Stew-Stras/Windsor will take on the winner of the CHBC vs. Nokomis game at 6 p.m. Friday for the regional championship.

Class 82-A Assumption Regional

Class 8-3A Teutopolis Regional

Teutopolis and Lawrenceville Parkview advanced to the championship game of the regional with victories Tuesday evening.

T-town opened with a 31-14 win over Red Hill (Bridgeport). The Shoes led 16-9 at halftime and had a 15-5 second half run.

Carly Michels scored 15 and Kylie Hoelscher 10 for the winners.

In the second game, Lawrenceville Parkview edged Marshall 26-24.

T-town will now face Lawrenceville Parkview at 6 p.m. Friday for the regional championship.

Class 8-3A Teutopolis Regional

Class 8-3A Paris Mayo Regional

Tuscola E. Prairie defeated Sullivan 30-19 in the opening game Tuesday.

The second contest went to Paris Mayo over Arthur 27-17.

Tuscola East Prairie faces Paris Mayo at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for the regional title.

 

Class 8-4A Charleston Regional

No score was provided on the Champaign Jefferson vs. Mount Zion contest Tuesday evening.

The regional continues Thursday with Charleston against the winner of the Tuesday game at 6 p.m. followed by Effingham taking on Mattoon at 7:15 p.m.
