Effingham Sacred Heart and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City split boys junior high basketball victories Monday evening.
CHBC won the seventh-grade game 57-17. Robertson tallied 17 while Lucas added 15 for the winners. Sacred Heart was led by Feldhake, Zerrusen and Buenker with four points each.
In eighth-grade play, Sacred Heart picked up a 44-30 win. The Shamrocks were led by Tegeler with 15 and Brummer with 10. CHBC was led by Baylis with seven.

At Altamont
Greenville came calling and handed Altamont two losses Monday evening.
Greenville was a 52-11 winner in seventh-grade play. Greenville held Altamont scoreless in the first quarter for a 16-0 lead and never looked back. Atamont was led by Suckow with five points.
In the eighth-grade game, Greenville was a 42-35 winner. Altamont held a 13-7 opening quarter lead but Greenville edged ahead 20-19 at halftime. Greenville then had a 13-9 final quarter. Altamont mounted a 12-9 final period run but couldn't make up that third quarter.
Hunter Cripe led Altamont with 14 points.

Stewardson-Strasburg picked up two wins over Windsor in competition Monday.
Stew-Stras won the seventh-grade game 33-15, leading 9-4 at halftime and taking a 13-4 final quarter surge. Vonderheride tallied 15 for the winners. Windsor was led by Bartimus with 11. Stew-Stras is 4-5.
In the eighth-grade game, Stew-Stras won 24-14. Windsor led 14-7 at halftime but Stew-Stras came back with a 17-5 second half. Walden scored eight for the winners. Colclasure led Windsor with seven. Stew-Stras improves to 1-8.

Teutopolis and Dieterich were both winners in action Monday evening.
Dieterich picked up the seventh-grade victory 35-28. Dieterich trailed T-town 16-11 at half then had a 16-6 third quarter surge. Dieterich had seven players score led by Shadle with eight and Lidy with seven. T-town was led by Magee and Tegeler with eight each.
In the eighth-grade contest, Teutopolis downed Dieterich 41-36. The score was tied at 15-15 at halftime before T-town took a 26-21 lead in the second half. Mersman scored 17 and Kremer 12 for the winners. Dieterich was led by Gephart with 13.
