Class 7-2A Effingham St. Anthony Regional
Altamont and Palestine picked up first round victories in the St. Anthony Regional Saturday.
Altamont defeated North Clay (Louisville) 35-31 in the first contest. In the second game, Palestine won over Oblong 31-15.
Altamont will now face St. Anthony tonight at 6 followed by Brownstown/St. Elmo taking on Palestine at 7:15 p.m.
Class 7-2A Neoga Regional
Assumption Central A&M defeated Findlay Okaw Valley in the opening game Saturday 29-12. Assumption will now meet Nokomis at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
In the second contest, Neoga defeated Stewardson-Strasburg 29-5. Neoga held a 14-0 first half lead and never looked back. Neoga advances to face Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 7:15 p.m.
Dunn tallied eight and Moore seven for the winners. Richards led Stew-Stras with three. Stew-Stras ends the season at 1-19.

Class 7-3A Marshall Regional
Jasper County saw its season come to a close in the Marshall Regional. Jasper County fell to Edwards County (Albion) 40-29.
Jasper County held a 10-9 first half lead but Albion had an 11-1 third period run. Ava Kessler led Jasper County with six points.
The second game went to Marshall over Robinson Nuttall 40-5. The final contest was won by Red Hill (Bridgeport) over Lawrenceville Parkview 32-19.
Teutopolis will now face Edwards County at 6 p.m. Tuesday followed by Marshall against Red Hill at 7:15 p.m.

Class 7-4A Mattoon Regional
Champaign Jefferson edged Charleston 28-25 in the only game played in this regional Saturday.
Champaign Jefferson now advances to face Effingham at 4:30 p.m. today followed by Mattoon against Mount Zion at 6.
At Cowden
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City split victories against Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor Friday in regular season action.
CHBC won the seventh-grade game 36-8, taking a 17-4 halftime lead and outscoring Stew-Stew/Windsor 15-2 in the third period. CHBC was led by Gracie Heckert with 12 points. Hayes and Richards led SSW with four points each.
In the eighth-grade game, Stew-Stras/Windsor was a 27-21 winner. SSW took a 17-8 first half lead then held off CHBC in the second half. H. Hayes and Megan Nichols scored 11 each for the winners. MacKenzie Bunch led CHBC with five points.
