BEECHER CITY -- Effingham St. Anthony picked up two victories over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Tuesday.
The Bullpups won the seventh-grade game 33-23. St. Anthony held a 19-10 halftime lead. Riley Guy scored 10 for the winners. Gracie Heckert tallied 13 for CHBC which drops to 9-11.
In the eighth-grade contest, St. Anthony was a 16-7 winner. Elizabeth Kabbes tallied six for the winners. CHBC was led by MacKenzie Bunch, Carsen Burks and Alexis Vaughn scored two points each. The squad dropped to 12-8.

At Robinson
Effingham scored in the 30's in both games as the Mustangs downed Robinson Nuttall twice.
The Mustangs won the seventh-grade contest 32-4. Althoff, Bushur and Sowell scored six points each. The Mustangs are now 12-5.
In eighth-grade play, Effingham was a 33-12 winner. Diveley tallied 21 points as the Mustangs improved to 10-8.

At Dieterich
Dieterich and Stewardson-Strasburg split junior high girls basketball victories Tuesday evening.
Dieterich was a 33-14 winner in seventh-grade action. Dieterich held a 12-5 opening quarter lead then had a 15-0 run in the third period. M. Brummer led the way in scoring for the winners with eight points. Stew-Stras was led by Richards with seven. The win was the first of the season for Dieterich which improves to 1-17.
In eighth-grade play, Stew-Stras claimed a 40-11 victory. Megan Nichols scored 10 for the winners while Hayes added nine. Dieterich was led by Bloemer with eight as the squad dropped to 15-5.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis ran through the seventh-grade contest easily over Pana but had a hard-fought victory in eighth-grade play.
The Wooden Shoes took a 15-2 opening quarter lead in the seventh-grade contest and went on for a 36-10 victory. Izzy Hardiek tallied 14 for the winners as the squad improved to 18-3.
In eighth-grade play, Pana led 16-10 at halftime. T-town came back with a 12-3 third period run but Pana rallied and tied the score at 32-32 sending the game into overtime. In the overtime period, the Shoes had a 4-2 count for the win.
Carly Michels scored 22 for the Shoes who improve to 12-9.

Sigel St. Michael came calling at Jasper County and picked up two victories.
St. Michael was a 26-13 winner in seventh-grade play. Schumacher scored 10 for the winners. Amber Russell led Jasper County with seven.
In the eighth-grade game, Sigel St. Michael was a 49-19 winner. Bueker tallied 20 and Niebrugge 11.
Jasper County was led by Whitney Zumbahlen with nine.
