SUMMERSVILLE -- Effingham St. Anthony picked up two victories over Germantown at the Summersville Shoot-out Saturday.
In the seventh-grade contest, the Bullpups picked up a 40-18 win. St. Anthony held a 17-14 first quarter lead then had a 17-2 third period run. Josh Blanchette tallied 14 for the winners.
In the eighth-grade game, St. Anthony claimed a 60-28 win. The Bullpups held a 30-15 halftime lead and never looked back.
Antrim scored 14, Schutte 13 and Walsh 13 for the Bullpups.

At Summersville
Effingham also competed in the Summersville Shootout Saturday.
The Mustangs fell in seventh-grade action 44-33. Carbondale held a 22-13 halftime lead. Matteson tallied 10 for the Mustangs who drop to 0-4.
In the eighth-grade contest, Effingham was a 61-45 winner over Carbondale. The Mustangs stepped out to a 39-20 halftime lead and improved to 3-1 on the season.
Parker Wolfe led the way with 14 points and six assists. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the game. Nate Thompson added 13 points.

At Strasburg
Greenville won the championship of the Stewardson-Strasburg Tournament Saturday.
In the first contest, North Clay (Louisville) defeated Stewardson-Strasburg 33-12. North Clay stepped out to a 16-0 first quarter lead. Bible tallied 14 for the winners. Stew-Stras was led by Sayers with six.
Greenville won the second game over Stew-Stras 40-15 with a 24-6 halftime lead. Lager tallied 14 for the winners. Slifer led Stew-Stras with six.
In the championship contest, Greenville edged North Clay 34-32. North Clay held a 19-10 first half lead and led 26-17 going into the final period. Greenville then rallied for a 17-6 run to pull out the victory.
Bible led North Clay with 16 points while Anthony added nine.
