Effingham picked up two victories over Effingham Sacred Heart in junior high girls basketball action Friday.
The Mustangs won the seventh-grade encounter 25-12. Sowell tallied 10 for the winners. Hackman and Karolewicz had four each for the Shamrocks. Effingham improved to 8-5.
In the eighth-grade contest, Effingham was a 24-20 winner, taking a 16-0 opening quarter lead then holding off the Shamrocks as they had a 10-0 fourth quarter run.
Diveley scored 12 for Effingham who improves to 7-6. Carie led Sacred Heart with 17.

At Shelbyville
Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor split victories with Shelbyville in Friday play.
Shelbyville won the seventh-grade contest 32-19 with a 19-9 first half run. SSW was led by Hayes with 10 points as the squad fell to 1-15.
In eighth-grade competition, Stew-Stras/Windsor was a 33-22 winner to improve to 12-4. Hayes scored 16 and Megan Nichols 12 for the winners.

At Casey
Teutopolis picked up two B wins over host Casey-Westfield Friday.
The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade game easily 32-3. Tia Probst led nine players in scoring with eight points.
In the eighth-grade game, T-town was a 22-13 winner. The score was tied at 9-9 at halftime. T-town then had a 13-4 second half run. Carly Michels led the way with seven points.
