Dieterich came calling at Effingham Sacred Heart and captured two wins in girls junior high school basketball action Tuesday evening.

Dieterich won the seventh-grade contest 23-17.  Boerngen led the way with nine points while Pruemer added seven. Sacred Heart was led by Grace Karolewicz with nine.

In the eighth-grade contest, Dieterich won 24-21. Lorey tallied 10 and Wendte eight for the winners. The Shamrocks were led by Katie Carie with 16.

At Paris

Effingham and Paris Crestwood split wins over Effingham in action Tuesday.

Crestwood claimed the seventh-grade contest 30-21. Crestwood took a 21-10 first half lead. Effingham was led by Althoff with six points.

In eighth-grade play, Effingham was a 44-36 winner. The Mustangs trailed 21-18 at halftime then had a 17-10 third quarter run. Diveley tallied 25 and Armstrong 11 for the winners.

At Flora

Effingham St. Anthony and Flora split victories Tuesday.

The Bullpups won the seventh-grade game 23-4.  St. Anthony trailed Flora 2-0 after the opening quarter but had a 15-point run in the second period. Evie Strullmyer led the Bullpups with six points.

In the eighth-grade contest, Flora downed St. Anthony 27-13. The Bullpups were led by Jacy Boatman with eight points.

Teutopolis captured the eighth-grade contest but fell in seventh-grade play at Olney Tuesday.

Olney won the seventh-grade game 25-12 with a 14-2 first half run. T-town was led by Grace Hoene, Jaden Deters and Izzy Hardiek with four each. The squad dropped to 10-2.

In the eighth-grade contest, T-town won easily 43-15. T-town had a 30-6 run in the second and third quarters. Carly Michels talllied 20 for the winners while Megan McMahon added nine. T-town improves to 8-4.
