Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School captured two wins over Pana Sacred Heart in girls basketball competition Monday.

The Bullpups won the seventh-grade game 31-17. Elizabeth Kabbes and Riley Guy tallied eight points each for the winners.

In eighth-grade competition, St. Anthony held a 17-7 first half lead and held off Pana Sacred Heart in the second half for a 28-23 victory.

Taylor Ritz tallied 11 for the Bullpups.

At Strasburg

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor split victories with Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond in junior high girls basketball action Monday evening.

ALAH won the seventh-grade contest 24-14. Stew-Stras/Windsor was led by Hayes with 11 points as the squad dropped to 0-10.

In eighth-grade play, SSW was a 25-16 winner. Meghan Nichols tallied 12 for the winners who improve to 6-2.
