Junior High Girls Basketball -- Sept. 21

Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School opened the girls basketball season with two wins over North Clay (Louisville) Wednesday.

The Bullpups won the seventh-grade contest 34-9. Ellie Wegman tallied eight points and Sophia Clausius six. R. Allen scored nine for North Clay.

In eighth-grade competition, St. Anthony won 27-12. Kate Hartke tallied 10 points to lead the Bullpups. C. Lovett had seven for North Clay.
