3A Sectional Scores, 3-Point Advancers

There were two 3A sectional championship games played downstate Friday night.

At Taylorville, Springfield Southeast defeated Springfield Lanphier 62-57. Advancing in the Country Financial Three-Point competition from there were Sawyer Scott of Mattoon, as well as Charles Kuhle and Jonah Smith of Mt. Zion.

At Highland, Belleville Althoff downed Centralia 67-53. Among those advancing in the 3-point competition was Braden Fitzjarrels of Mt. Vernon, who made 10 threes and then made nine in a shootoff to advance to State.
