Area Players Exit Country Three-Point Showdown

Area players did not reach the final four in the Class 1A and Class 2A Country Three-Point Showdown Thursday at Illinois State University's Redbird Arena.

Altamont's Keidron Duckwitz, a junior, competed in the Class 1A and finished with seven three-pointers.

Taylor Smith of Oblong did not advance.

Advancing were Jessica Devries (Princeville) with 11, Macee Weiss (Red Hill, Bridgeport) with 10, Elizabeth Hall (Greenfield) with 10 and Arieal Scott (Danville Schlarman) with nine.

In Class 2A, Teutopolis High School's Danielle Repking, a senior, tallied five while Jae Lyn Riggelman, a freshman, had four and Myriah Warner, a sophomore, had one. Both play for Casey-Westfield. Crimson Jones, a senior at Flora, tallied seven.

Advancing were Katie Landis (St. Joseh-Ogden) with 11, Mara Abu-Tayeh (Williamsville) with nine, Sydney McClintock (Glasford Illini Bluffs) with nine and Cami Meddows (Trenton Wesclin) with eight.

The finalists will compete Friday with the 1A at approximately 1:45 p.m. and the 2A at approximately 8:15 p.m.
