Major week of hoops across the state of Illinois.  Here is a look at the five nominees for Wisconsin Dells Player of the Week. Make sure you vote for your favorite throughout the week and check back to see who wins.

Grant Wolfe (Effingham)

This Effingham junior floor general continues to post strong numbers throughout the season. He was at it again Friday with a strong 26 point outing.

Ben Coupet (Simeon)

The Simeon senior wing had the best game of his career on the biggest stage. Coupet dropped 24 points including a monster first quarter on the way to a win over Morgan Park.

Ammar Becar (Niles Notre Dame)

Becar simply couldn’t miss against Marist. The efficient forward had it all working scoring from a variety of spots and shooting a high percentage going for 26 points and eight rebounds.

Rowan McGowen (Wheaton North)

This 6-foot-5 shooter can flat out shoot the rock. He did just that and more by hitting 18-19 free throws on his way to a 28 point performance.

Drew Peterson (Libertyville)

Peterson is one of the state’s top sophomore prospects. The rangy wing showed why against Carmel dropping 25 points and grabbing eight boards.
