Sharpshooters See Season End in 8-1A State Quarterfinals

Sigel St. Michael saw its season come to an end Saturday in the quarterfinals of the 8-1A State Tournament at Bartonville Limestone High School, falling to Griggsville-Perry 33-29.

St. Michael was down 12-10 after one quarter, down 14-11 at halftime as the teams scored three points between them in the second quarter, and trailed by three after three quarters 22-19 before Griggsville-Perry outscored St. Michael 11-10 in the fourth quarter to post the four-point win.

Craig Croy led Sigel St. Michael with 10 points, Kaden Fearday scored eight points, Max Niebrugge seven, and Isaac Walk four points.

St. Michael ends their season with an Elite Eight finish and a 21-5 record.
