HILLSBORO -- Effingham High School's freshman boys basketball team fell to Greenville 70-63 in the consolation championship of the Hillsboro Freshman Tournament Thursday.
The two teams were tied at 20-20 after the opening quarter. Greenville trailed the Hearts 40-34 at halftime and 50-49 going into the final quarter. Greenville then mounted a 21-13 final quarter comeback to capture the win.
Effingham was led by Cooper Jackson with 15 points, Lucas Hagler with 13, Dylan Bushur with 11 and Zack Lee with 10.
