Effingham St. Anthony claimed freshman/sophomore boys basketball wins over Altamont Saturday.
The Bulldogs won the freshman contest 64-26. St. Anthony held a 48-16 halftime lead. Ben Strullmyer tallied 10 points in the opening half and came back to finish with 24 for the game.
Altamont was led by Kollman with nine points.
In the sophomore game, the Bulldogs won 61-46. Altamont held a 30-26 halftime lead before St. Anthony got untracked and came back with a 35-16 second half run.
Alex Deters tallied 17 while Luke Ludwig chipped in with 11 for the winners. Altamont was led by Stevenson with 14 and Laatsch with 10.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis picked up two wins over Mount Vernon in girls freshman/sophomore action Friday.
The Wooden Shoes won the freshman contest 57-28. T-town held a 26-12 halftime lead then had a 21-10 third quarter run.
Morgan Mette tallied 15 and Julia Frey 14 for the Shoes.
In the sophomore game, T-town was a 63-12 winner. T-town held the Rams scoreless in the opening quarter for a 19-0 lead.
Macy Michels scored 20 and Sadie Bueker 16 for the Shoes.

At Taylorville
Effingham nabbed two wins over Taylorville in Saturday girls competition.
The Hearts won the first game 45-37. EHS trailed 24-22 at halftime then had an 11-7 third quarter run. Carie scored 10 while Kuhlman tallied 10 and Buscher nine for the Hearts.
In the shortened second game, Effingham won 22-18 in two quarters. Taylor tallied eight for the Hearts.
