NASHVILLE INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT

The Teutopolis Wooden Shoes finished the Nashville Invitational Tournament Saturday with a 1-3 record after dropping a 52-43 decision to Breese Central. The win for the Cougars avenges an early season 42-38 loss to the Wooden Shoes.

Breese Central finished the tournament with a 4-0 mark.

Also Saturday at Nashville, Breese Mater Dei edged Nashville 64-62.

Mater Dei finished the tournament with a 3-1 record. Nashville finished with a 2-2 record.

LITTLE ILLINI CONFERENCE BOYS TOURNAMENT

Lawrenceville 83, Newton 60

Newton fell behind 28-8 after the opening quarter and never could recover. The Eagles were led by Mammoser with 22 points and Cohorst with 13.

LITTLE OKAW VALLEY SOUTHEAST TOURNAMENT

Cumberland captured a victory Saturday in the Little Okaw Valley Southeast Tournament. The Pirates defeated Martinsville 85-33.

The Pirates took a 29-8 opening quarter lead and led 53-12 halftime. Twelve players scored for Cumberland with Tyson Magee and Mike Wolke scoring 14 each while Brandon Shaon had 10.
