Teutopolis Nabs Consolation Championship at Highland Tourney

The Teutopolis Shoes won the consolation championship of the Highland Girls Tournament Saturday.

T-Town posted a 41-30 win over Taylorville.

Shelby Thompson led the way with 11 points for Teutopolis, while Jamie Sandschafer added 10 points. Also for the Shoes: Molly Smith 7, Danielle Repking 5, Anna Hartke 4, Raegan Drees 2 and Jolene Bueker 2.

Also Saturday at Highland, Breese Central held off Salem 51-49 to claim the championship, Triad edged Belleville West 59-57 for third place, and Highland downed Belleville Althoff 52-40 in the fifth place game.
