T-town Girls Fourth, Boys Eighth In AP Polls

The Teutopolis High School girls basketball team dropped from third to fourth in the Associated Press Class 2A State Basketball Poll.

The Wooden Shoes were 17-6 when the poll was taken and had 83 points. Breese Central remained at the top of the pack with 12 first-place votes and a 17-3 record. Hillsboro is in second and Piasa Southwestern moved up to third. Flora and Lawrenceville are in the others receiving votes category.

T-town went from fifth to eighth in the Class 2A boys poll. The Wooden Shoes were 15-4 and had 49 points. Winnebago has the top position with nine first-place votes and a 15-1 record. Breese Central remained second with a 16-2 mark.

Altamont received votes in Class 1A where Colfax Ridgeview has the No. 1 spot with a 16-2 record and seven first-place votes.
