Junior High Boys Basketball -- Dec. 15

STRASBURG -- Altamont came calling and handed Stewardson-Strasburg two boys junior high basketball losses Tuesday evening.

Altamont claimed the seventh-grade game 48-24. Altamont stepped out to an 18-4 opening quarter lead and led 32-6 at halftime. Cripe tallied 14, Baucum 11 and Abendroth 10 for the winners. Stew-Stras was led by Wernsing with 18 as the squad dropped to 3-12.

In eighth-grade competition, Altamont again held a big halftime lead 31-13 and went on for a 59-26 win.

Delaney scored 18 and Kollmann 12 for Altamont. Kirby tallied seven for Stew-Stras who drops to 3-9.
